Classic Syndicates
The heart of the Zealots Empire is our classic leagues, each with twelve
owners and based on the Zealots dynasty rules originally created by Oscar
Knight. Every classic league is grouped into a “Syndicate” of twelve
leagues, overseen by one of our Czars. Currently there are 60 Zealot leagues
arranged into five classic Syndicates: Grange, Nagurski, Baugh,
Blood, and Hutson.

|
Grange
was our first
syndicate, which was formed in 2003, the first year
of Zealot’s history.
Grange consists of the classic leagues
Z-1 through Z-12, and is overseen by Czar Jeff "jeffchargers9" Day.
Grange is named
after
Harold “Red” Grange,
one of the early heroes of the NFL.

Nagurski was our
second syndicate, which was formed during 2004.
Nagurski
syndicate
was formed after it became apparent
that one Syndicate was just not large enough to satisfy the desire of the
many fantasy football fans who wanted to become a part of the new Zealots leagues.
Nagurski
consists of Zealot leagues Z-13 through Z-24, and is overseen by Czar Jim
"CanteburyJimGiants" Pike.
Nagurski is named after
Bronko Nagurski, an early NFL
star from the Chicago Bears. |
 |
|
Baugh was our third Syndicate,
which was formed in 2005 after interest in Zealots
continued to grow.
Baugh is made up of our classic leagues
Z-25 through
Z-36, and is overseen by Czar Rodney “The Game” Tethal.
Baugh was named after
“Slingin" Sammy
Baugh, one of the early heroes of the Washington Redskins. |
 |
|
Blood was our fourth Syndicate,
which was formed in the 2006 season.
Blood consists of the classic leagues
Z-37 through
Z-48, and is overseen by Czar Pete “Frozen Tundra” Black.
Blood is named
after
John “Blood” McNally, an early star of the NFL. |
 |
|
Hutson, the newest addition to Zealots Field, is
our fifth syndicate and is set to debut in 2008. Hutson includes classic Zealots leagues Z-49 through Z-60, and is overseen
by Czar Mark "the Jag Zone" Clapper. Hutson is named after
Don Hutson, an early Green Bay Packer
hero.
